Lassen Sie sich nicht von Fake News täuschen

Dies ist die echte, autorisierte persönliche Website des Opfers der Kampagne „Fraud & Dirty Tricks“, Niels Troost

Dutch businessman Niels Troost, who is dedicated to building food security in Africa and who has been instrumental in facilitating grain exports for Ukraine before and during the Russian invasion, has been falsely accused by media reports of breaching the G7 price cap regulations imposed on Russian oil.

The only absolute true fact on this subject is that no authorities have accused Niels Troost of breaching sanctions. Its is also a true fact that the designation of Niels Troost on the UK sanctions list was solely based on a few media articles. There was no other source or information in support of this designation.

Niels is the victim of a substantial black media campaign which he suspects, based on evidence, to be related to a bitter dispute with Gaurav Srivastava, —an individual who first class investigative journalists (see links below) have now exposed as a deceiver who has manipulated his way into elite political circles in America and who recruited high profile individuals who are experienced in negative campaign tactics to assist him in his malevolent activities.

Niels is the Ultimate Beneficial Owner (UBO) of Paramount Energy & Commodities SA, an company which has been under liquidation since March 2024, having ceased all Russian-related commercial activities as of May 2022 with final deliveries in September 2022. This entity owns Dubai-based Paramount DMCC, which was involved in marketing ESPO from Dubai in legal compliance with all applicable international sanctions rules set by the G7. Paramount DMCC’s business model did not involve buying oil directly from Russian oil producers, but from a Dubai based company who itself aggregated and sold oil from independent Russian oil producers (not state-owned companies). By June 2023, Paramount DMCC ceased facilitating Russian-origin oil trades, which exclusively dealt with oil sales from independent oil producers. Since August 2023, Paramount DMCC has conducted no Russia-related business or almost any business of any kind whatsoever.

Mr. Troost had no operational or managerial involvement in the running of Paramount DMCC. Paramount DMCC acted completely independent from Paramount SA and received no instructions from its parent company in Switzerland in relation to its activities in the Russian oil business.

Very recently, a new set of fake stories were circulated to media and officials of various countries, reporting (falsely) that Niels Troost would be the shareholder of a company called Livna Shipping Limited. The verifiable fact is Niels had sold all his shares in the company in October 2018. Even before then, Niels was a passive shareholder and never pursued any managerial or operational role in the company.

The ease with which nefarious individuals, opponents, or state actors can plant stories in online publications is appalling. Such parties act through planting stories which are known to or are suspected of profiting from publishing material designed to destroy reputations through false accusations and innuendo, and those stories can then get picked up by major media outlets without any fact-checking, which leads to a dramatic amplification of the initial fake news. This, in turn, results in substantial and dramatic damage to an innocent person’s reputation, and often also their families, colleagues or friends.
